Miami-Dade County Public Works Department

AMBRO provided the Civil Engineering services for a new right turning lane on SW 6 Street from SW 127 Avenue in Miami-Dade County. The services included roadway design, paving, grading, drainage, pavement markings and signage. AMBRO was also the construction manager for the Countywide Sidewalk improvement project. Some of its duties included conducting pre-construction meetings; notifying the public; responding to complaints; issuing the work orders; inspecting the work; documenting the progress; enforcing the construction codes; recommending approval of Contractor payments; conducting final inspections and generating punch lists. AMBRO was also responsible for submitting a monthly report that documents and quantifies all completed work by the Contractor.

For the relocation of SW 152nd Avenue at Campbell Drive (SW 312th Street) AMBRO was responsible for the design of the drainage system and utility placement. Other projects include the design and inspections of roadway systems, storm management systems and utilities countywide.

MIA Fuel Farm

AMBRO was in charge of the construction management for the installation of a new fuel tank and fuel dispenser canopy at the MIA fuel Farm. The project consisted of the following upgrades to MDAD’s Fuel Facility to enhance its operational and environmental performance:

  1. Installation of a roof canopy over the fuel dispensing units at the Dyke #1 area
  2. Installation of a new Oil-Water Separator (OWS) to replace the existing.
  3. Enlargement of the concrete berm
  4. Repaving of disturbed asphalt pavement and other miscellaneous work

 

The services that we provided include:

  • Observation and Inspecting of the work in progress for compliance with Contract Documents.
  • Providing support for the Oil-Water Separator (OWS) testing and commissioning.
  • Addressing field coordination and necessary design adjustments to maintain construction progress of the work.
  • Reviewing and responding in writing to RFI’s.
  • Reviewing and approving shop drawings and other submittals in a timely manner
  • Submitting detailed written and sequentially numbered reports on the condition of the work, the progress of the work and other work observations; including review of lab testing results.
  • Observing the work in progress and the request for payment from the Contractor, to determine the amount due them on account, and approving the request for payment in such an amount.
  • Examination of “as-built” drawings to determine completeness and accuracy up to the date of the pay request. Issuance of certified record drawings based on as-built drawings submitted by the Contractor
