Traffic Circle Projects at Several Intersections
Overview
AMBRO provided roadway design and construction administration services for the removal and replacement of an existing traffic circle with an upgraded modern roundabout. These improvements were part of Traffic Circle Projects at Several Intersections delivered for the City of North Miami, including locations such as NW 16th Avenue at NW 120th Street and Sans Souci Boulevard at NE 118th Road, which share similar right-of-way conditions.
The scope of work included roadway milling and resurfacing, limited partial reconstruction, and the replacement of damaged sidewalks, driveway approaches, curbs and gutters, valley gutters, and ADA-compliant ramps. The project also involved updated pavement markings and traffic signage to enhance safety and accessibility.
During construction, AMBRO managed all aspects of construction administration. This included conducting the preconstruction meeting, notifying the public, and responding to community inquiries and complaints. The team performed quantity takeoffs, daily inspections, and progress documentation, while ensuring compliance with maintenance of traffic requirements and applicable construction codes. AMBRO also reviewed contractor pay applications, generated punch lists, and provided daily reports detailing and quantifying the contractor’s completed work.
